A detailed, accurate topographical survey is the first, and possibly most important, step in any landscaping or architectural project. Getting a reliable picture of the lie of the land is vital and can dictate placing of buildings or structural features as well as help designers and architects work with, rather than against, existing conditions to develop more cost effective design solutions. We also carry out drainage surveys, services surveys, measured building surveys, elevations and tree surveys.
At DDB we have invested in a Leica Total Station System that allows us to survey your site with 100% accuracy to provide a reliable, detailed 3D site survey that can be used as a basis for projects ranging from garden landscaping to site redevelopment and architectural building work. The survey will include not only the features above ground but also the cables, drains and gas mains below the ground pinpointing their exact position and depth.
This state-of-the-art system is some of the most comprehensive site surveying equipment on the market and our professional team can use the Leica station to offer you a complete understanding of your site before you get started on your Grand Design. The plans can be supplied in various CAD compatible digital formats (including pdfs) and can be viewed as a 3D rotational model.
A Leica Total System site survey is ideal for big one off projects and a great basis for ongoing plans that might stretch over a few years to give you insight and understanding that will ultimately save you time and money.
Dorset Surveying Services are available to existing and new customers as a stand-alone service with no obligation to continue with further design or landscaping work with us, however discounts may be available if surveying forms part of a larger project.
